first round of DLC, "The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned," got a release date this morning. Expect the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the add-on to arrive on November 24. The PC version, on the other hand, went unmentioned in the press release.
In case you missed the original announcement, this DLC will take players to Jakobs Cove, where a fellow by the name of Dr. Ned has -- perhaps unwittingly -- transformed the local workforce into a rotting army of undead atrocities. It falls on the shoulders of the loot-crazed Vault hunters to discover a cure and bring peace back to the Cove, although let's be honest here: Nothing cures a case of zombie plague like a shotgun blast to the face.

Releasing almost an entire month after Halloween, "The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned" isn't the most timely of add-ons, but it sounds like it could be a hoot either way. It'll cost you $9.99 (800 Microsoft points) when it shows up November 24.
